If you love wine but are unsure what to serve with dinner, I can help with that! I am partnered with Paula from Taste of Class, which is a service that offers private wine tastings with a certified wine professional (Paula). Taste of Class offers a fun, educational wine-tasting experience for small groups who want to expand their knowledge and appreciation of wine.
$100 fee: With this option, Paula will research the wines to pair with your selected menu and provide you with a list of wines to purchase. She will also provide basic information on each pairing so you can elevate your culinary experience. At the dinner, I will pour 3 oz of each wine with each course, as well as go over the information that Paula has provided.
$200 (For up to 6 participants, add $25+pst for each additional participant): This tasting experience includes a pre-event consultation, professionally curated wine selections, tasting notes and food pairing notes research and preparation, and the use of professional tasting glasses (including washing/sanitizing and polishing). Paula will pour the wines at your dinner and talk about each pairing, along with stories about the wineries and the regions.
About one to two weeks before your event, Paula will help you choose the wines. She will meet you at a Regina wine store (preferably the Willow Park Wines & Spirits Grasslands location or Southland Sobeys Liquor) to choose the wines. You pay for the wines and take them with you. Alternatively, Paula can provide you with a list of wines to purchase.
Both prices above do not include the cost of the wine itself as you will be doing the purchasing.
A 35% deposit will be required upon booking the event. If the event is cancelled more than 7 days before the event, you will be refunded 50% of the deposit. Cancellations made less then 7 days before the event will result in a total loss of the deposit. The remainder owing is payable on the event date, at the end of the evening.
Payment can be made with debit, credit, e-transfer or cash.
